Camp Read is an annual event the teachers at Garibaldi host to celebrate Family Literacy Day with the students.  Each classroom is set up with a different component of literacy and the children rotate with their own teacher through the various rooms in the school. 

Everyone wears pyjamas and throughout the school tents, pillows, etc. are set up so that students can get cozy, read, listen and enjoy.

In the library, there will be a read-aloud and discussion. Following this, students, with their teachers, will rotate though a non-fiction, fiction, poetry and reader’s theatre room where they will explore and do activities with their class.  They morning starts at 9:00 and ends at 12:15.
