Picking Up Your Child From School

As many of our parents know, Garibaldi follows a successful end-of-school-day pick-up routine that ensures the comfort and safety of all the children in the school and allows all Garibaldi Staff to be secure in the knowledge the children are picked up by the proper person(s) and everyone has been collected.  Both the Garibaldi Home Learners’ Teachers participate in  before and after school student supervision and our students also participate in the school routines.

We ask that all Home Learners’ parents follow this routine also.  When you or a designate attend the school to pick up your child at the end of the day, please wait outside at the rear covered-area entrance with the other parents. (Please do not come into the school hallway and wait in the hall.)  When the dismissal bell rings at 3:01 p.m., teachers lead their respective classes outside, where the children will  meet their adults.  Those who are not picked up wait with the teacher who is on supervision that day until someone arrives to pick them up.  If an adult isn’t at the school by 3:15 p.m., the teacher will take the student to the office where the student will wait until an adult does arrive.
