PEP Talks

PEP Talks is a brand new speaker series that features world-class educators, authors and thinkers on issues of concern to teachers and parents from gender roles to the teenaged brain to the role of play and freedom in child development.

Presented by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, PEP Talks features Lenore Skenazy (AKA America’s worst mom), Sheryl Feinstein, Deborah MacNamara and Lisa Bloom.

It all takes place at the Vancouver Playhouse from March to June. Buy tickets to the entire series for $130 or $35 per speaker, with net proceeds to benefit the Vancouver International Children’s Festival.

“We are launching PEP Talks to bring high profile speakers and educators to Vancouver for informative and thought-provoking evening events that will inspire and inform parents and educators alike. Think of it as TED Talks for Parents,” says Tom Stulberg, VICF Board Chair. “While school Parent Advisory Committees bring in expert speakers to talk about current issues relating to parenting challenges, there are many excellent speakers available whose speaking fees are outside of the range of school committees our goal is to fill the need the PACs can not.”
