Programming starts next week: Tuesday, September 29th for the Intermediates and Wednesday, September 30th for the Primaries. We hope your children are excited and ready to learn!
Just a reminder for returning families that school start time is 9:00 a.m. As with the entire school community, the “warning bell” rings at 8:55 a.m. which is the signal for the children to enter the school and go to their classrooms. Classroom doors will be open after the warning bell rings, and students have 5 minutes to put their things away in the cloakroom and get ready for the day. We encourage all our students to enter their classrooms on their own. This fosters healthy independence and resiliency. Morning routines are important in classroom settings, to get the children settled and on the right track for the day.
At the end of the day, Juliana or Shannon will bring the Primaries outside to the under-covered area where parents can wait and pick up their children. To ensure all our students’ safety, we have the students line up and wait for parents to pick them up. They may play after we know their assigned adult has picked them up from our care. Children not picked up by 3:15 are brought to the office. Intermediates are released from their classroom to meet their parents outside.
Please ensure your children come dressed for the weather and have enough healthy snacks and food for the day.
Looking forward to seeing all the happy faces of our returning and new students!
