Seashore Sleuths at Belcarra Regional Park – Tues June 14

The final Metro Vancouver field trip of the school years takes place Tuesday June 14th 9:30-11:30 am at Belcarra Regional Park.

Step lightly through the intertidal zone and learn about the sea creatures living there. Wear rainboots!

Pond Discovery at Burnaby Lake – Thursday May 12

The next field trip at Burnaby Lake will be on Pond Discovery Thursday May 12, 9:30-11:30 am. Meet at the Nature House on Piper Avenue

Sneak along the pond edge to catch and release minnows, dragonfly nymphs, and many other creatures while learning about their watery homes.

Investigating Invertebrates at Burnaby Lake

The next field trip at Burnaby Lake will be on Investigating Invertebrates Thursday April 14 9:30-11:30 am. Meet at the Nature House on Piper Avenue

Search for clues to the hidden lives of spiders, slugs, and bugs. Evidence of their importance as pollinators and decomposers abound for those who know where to look.

Look for lodges, dams, and canals built by these wetland engineers and learn about the adaptations and history of these industrious rodents.
