Upcoming Field Trips and Hallowe’en

I have lots of information to share.  Please be sure to click onto your email to read the entire message!  Only the first part appears in your feed.

Field Trips:

On Tuesday, October 25th we have our field trip to the Museum of Anthropology.  Please be in the front lobby of the museum, in the seating area at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, November 2nd we will be going to Carousel Theatre’s Sultans of the Street production.  Please meet outside the front lobby entrance area by 9:40 at the very latest.  They only let us in once all our group is present.  If people can all be there by 9:30 that would be great.

On Thursday, November 3rd we will be going to Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s production of Wall to Wall Percussion.  Please meet me outside the Orpheum Theatre at the corner of Seymour and Smythe by 9:45 a.m.  Please do not go inside, even if the usher asks you to, or I will be waiting for you outside even as the production begins. I cannot go in and out to ensure everyone is there.  This has been a problem at the Orpheum every year.

My apologies for the two field trips being planned in the same week – this is purely an offering and availability constraint.

Hallowe’en

Intermediates:  We will be having our Hallowe’en party during the afternoon on Thursday, October 27th, from 1:00 to 2:20.  Students are invited to wear their costumes for the entire day, or for the afternoon only, whichever they prefer.  Parents are invited to the party in the afternoon if they wish to attend.  We ask everyone to bring a snack/treats to share with the students.

There is a whole-school dance in the afternoon of Monday, October 31.  Intermediate students are welcome to attend, however, they must be accompanied by a parent the entire time they are in attendance. Students wishing to attend, come in costume!

Primaries:  Primaries attend class on the 31st, so they are invited to wear their costumes for the day.  We will be having a party in the classroom from 1:00 to 3:00.  We will not have gym that afternoon as there is a whole school dance in the gym in the afternoon.  I will be taking the students to the dance, but suspect that they will not want to stay, so the plan is to be in the classroom for the afternoon.  Parents are invited to the party in the afternoon if they wish to attend.  We ask everyone to bring a snack/treats to share with the students.
