Through the Light Water Drums Festival, the Home Learners’ have secured an artist to come to lead Lantern Making workshops for both our Monday/Wednesday and our Tuesday/Thursday groups .

The workshops are being held here at Garibaldi on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 28th.

As the workshops are being held on a Tuesday, our T/Th students will participate in the workshop from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.

The workshop for the Monday/Wednesday students will be held from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m.  For these students, please ensure a parent is in attendance, or that you have made arrangements for another parent to supervise your child during the workshop.  A sign-up sheet will be on the parent table for the Monday/Wednesday students only to ensure we have the attendance we need to hold the workshop for the younger students.  If we do not, we will be offering the workshop to another class within the school.

We ask that everyone please bring in plastic bottles (juice, water, milk jugs, soda, etc.) ahead of time, washed, and with a flap pre-cut in the bottle.  See picture below.  We will have a bin underneath the Parent Table which you can put your bottles in.
